How to plan for alfresco dining with temperamental weather?

Lockdown rules have eased so more people can meet outside. This is a welcome relief for many of us as we can finally start catching up with friends and family, from the comfort of our gardens.

Although typically April brings mixed weather, that’s not going to stop us enjoying an alfresco April where possible. And we have the perfect answer to what to cook when the weather can be so variable.

A whole Sutton Hoo chicken will easily feed 6 and you can choose how to cook it on the day – a warming roast chicken if the weather is cold, or if the sun is shining, you could arrange an impromptu get together and spatchcock a chicken on the BBQ with lemon, herbs and salsa verde. It doesn’t get more summery than that!

Cold Weather Recipe - Classic Roast Chicken

Make sure you pick up a slow grown, free range Sutton Hoo chicken from your nearest stockist so you’re ready to go for those evenings spent outdoors as we enjoy long overdue catch ups with friends and family.

We would love to hear how you choose to cook your Sutton Hoo Chicken over the coming months, do send us your pictures or tag us in them on social media.
